The Gumnut Awards Program is an exciting environmental initiative that was launched in 2002 by the Caravan & Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA).

A progressive rating scheme for the Association's holiday and tourist park members, the Awards recognise demonstrated commitment to sustainable environmental and socially responsible management. The Award scheme is a vital component of the park industry's policy to ensure that it is part of the environmental solution rather than a part of the problem.

The policy, which recognises the vital role played by park management in the social fabric of the community, has been introduced to benefit everyone involved in the successful operation of a park. Park visitors, holidaymakers, residents, staff, the community and the environment will all be winners.
