Who can believe that its Easter time once again. It seems like no time ago that we were waiting for Santa to make an appearance and now we're counting down for the Easter Bunny. (He'll be here in 5 sleeps for those who don't already know)
April is looking like a busy month in the Great Lakes, with lots of events happening right through the month. A perfect time of year to travel....not too hot, not too cold, not too much rain (it is Easter though, so to expect a long weekend without rain....well we'll see.)
Pacific Palms is hosting a Family Fun Day on the 7TH of April at the Pacific Palms Surf Club at Elizabeth Beach. There will be activities for the whole family including a surf market, yoga for all, kids activities, surf lessons, surf movies, bands, food, drinks and more.
Lets hope for sunshine cause that sounds like a great day out.
The Rotary Club of Forster is having its annual duck race on Sunday the 8TH of April in the Breckenridge Channel, behind the main street. Lani's has sponsored its very own duck in the race, so we need to cheer our little guy to the finish line. Come on duckie number 40 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Lakes Winery is having "music in the back paddock" on Sunday the 8TH of April. Head along and enjoy, like it says, music in the back paddock. Bring along a picnic, or enjoy food and drinks that will be available on the day and listen to some local acclaimed musicians. $15 per adult and children under 15 years are free.
On Friday the 13th of April, Wallis Lake Fishermans Co-Op is having its annual open day. From 11am-2pm everyone is welcome to try some free fish tasting on the wharf, co-op tours, giveaways and huge discounts.
On the 14th of April at Tuncurry Skate Park, the annual King of the Krater competition at the Tuncurry skate park. Skaters, BMX riders and for the first time Open Scooters will battle it out in 7 categories.
Closer to home for the holidays, we have all of our favorite activities here at Lani's over the long weekend and right through the holidays.
There's craft on every morning over the long weekend, and family activities on every night. For the remainder of the holidays there's craft 3 mornings a week and night time activities 3 nights a week.
There's something for everyone to enjoy.
And for that morning coffee hit, we welcome back Sarah and Gary along with their famous sausage rolls and slushies. yay.
